Team Lexicon is once again running to raise money for The Lexicon Charity Fund (1155173) which is managed by Berkshire Community Foundation, an independent charity that connects local people with local causes and projects.

The Lexicon Charity Fund, launched in 2018, supports general charitable purposes from the borough of Bracknell Forest, including charities delivering services within schools and education. To-date the fund has supported nine different groups to the value of £32,500. The groups include;

  • Pilgrim Hearts Trust;
  • Berkshire Search and Rescue Dogs;
  • Meadow Vale Primary School;
  • Winkfield St Marys CoE Primary School;
  • Stepping Stones;
  • ABC to Read;
  • Age Concern Bracknell Forest;
  • Chance to Dance Stars and
  • Berks County Football Club.

The half marathon is one of many activities used to raise money for The Lexicon Charity Fund which supports a variety of communities from the borough.

The Lexicon Half Marathon (organised by Everyone Active on behalf of Bracknell Forest Council), will take place at 8:45am on Sunday 12 May 2024 and this year Team Lexicon will include four enthusiastic runners.

  • Savills's property management (Luke Austen),
  • CAKE marketing agency (Gareth Slaughter),
  • ABM soft service providers (Steve Iles) and representing our retailers
  • Waitrose (Nick Lindsley)
  • PureGym (Keya Kapur)

This year Bracknell Half Marathon is celebrating its 40th anniversary and The Lexicon has been involved for the past six years.  Our target for 2024 is £3,500 which will be especially important as we would like to support even more community groups during these uncertain times.

Applications for the next round of The Lexicon Charity Fund will open in June and we hope to award up to seven grants in September this year.

On behalf of everyone at The Lexicon thank you in advance for your contribution, it is much appreciated
